![]() ![]() I know I could probably get slightly better image and a decently smaller file size if I used CPU encoding, but with ~60 episodes to recode and the CPU moving between 1fps & 10fps.ain't nobody got time fo' that. ![]() Transcoding some silly-sized 1080p h264 files without touching audio streams or subtitles, framerates and resolutions all same as source.ĬQ set to 27, I've been getting avg 122fps transcode and a ~1.5gb file of good quality for a 47min show, including the untouched DTS audio track, and from a source of ~3.5-5gb.Ĭomparing the original file to the recoded ones, I can see some artifacts in dark areas if i'm looking for them, but nothing that will distract when i'm actually watching the show. ![]() Popping in here to say i've got a 1660ti and an i7 from 2015 or something.įor shows where the enjoyment is less tied to the absolute visual finesse, i've been liking a bit of NVENC goodness. ![]()
